Who we are
Software written from operations
Orian Technology was born out of the real operation of renewable assets. For twenty years we have managed wind farms and solar plants, and the judgement now built into Orian comes from that work.
Orian has been in development for more than ten years and running on real operational data for two. It is not a product conceived in an office and validated afterwards: it is the formalisation of a method that was already being applied by hand.
Our position is deliberately independent. We do not manufacture turbines and we do not provide maintenance, so the system has no incentive to favour any part of the operation.
Twenty years of operations
The judgement behind every evaluator, every indicator and every report section comes from real asset management, not from a theoretical specification.
Consultancy inside the system
The knowledge that used to be delivered in consultancy reports is built into the product itself: the system applies the method continuously, not in a one-off visit.

Three principles
Say what the product does
Every capability we announce is running on real operational data. We prefer a realistic expectation to a broken promise.
Technical independence
We do not sell equipment or maintenance. The system has no incentive to favour a manufacturer, an O&M provider or a particular technology.
Evidence before opinion
Every statement about the operation of an asset must be reconstructible from the recorded data.
